Single-serve pod machines are made in Asia, but two American companies make manual single-cup brewers here: AeroPress presses, molded in the USA since 2005, and a Missouri company's Pulsar Mini pour-over brewer.
A molded brewer is almost all its plastic body, so where it is molded matters most. Each listing names what is known to come from elsewhere.
Ranked by Made in USA level, highest first; ties are in alphabetical order. The level measures how much is made in the USA, not product quality. How the levels work
AeroPress makes the AeroPress manual coffee press, a single-cup brewer for coffee and espresso-style concentrate, in Original, Clear, XL and Go travel versions, along with its paper micro-filters. Inventor Alan Adler introduced it in 2005; Canada's Tiny Capital has held a controlling stake since 2021, and the company is based in Palo Alto, California.
AeroPress's FAQ lists what it makes in the USA: "Manufactured in USA: Original, Go, Clear, Clear Colors, Clear XL and Original XL coffee makers; white paper filters; natural paper filters." Its Premium and Steel coffee makers, manual grinder and most accessories are made in China, and the Go Plus pairs a US-made brewer with a tumbler made in China.
AeroPress uses contract molders; AllAmerican.org reported factories in Livermore, California and Woodstock, Illinois in 2021, and says the polypropylene and silicone seal are US made. The Clear models use Eastman Tritan, which Eastman makes in the USA. Where today's molders are isn't stated.
Production history: inventor Alan Adler's Aerobie launched the AeroPress in 2005, molded in the USA from the start. The company was renamed AeroPress, Inc. in 2017, and Canada's Tiny Capital bought a controlling stake in 2021, keeping the same factory. Newer lines (Premium, Steel, grinder) are made in China.
Our rough estimate: parts of unconfirmed origin (resin, seal compound) are about 0–10% of a press's value.
Level 4.5 for its AeroPress Original, Clear and XL presses: AeroPress says its Original, Clear and XL presses and paper filters are manufactured in the USA; only where its resin is made isn't confirmed.
NextLevel Brewer Co. makes the Pulsar and Pulsar Mini, valved pour-over brewers that spread water evenly over the grounds with no bypass, for brewing one cup or a full carafe at home or in cafes. The small company is based in Cole Camp, Missouri.
NextLevel's Pulsar and Pulsar Mini pages say "Made in the USA" and "All parts manufactured in the United States of America." The brewers are molded Eastman Tritan with a TPE base.
AllAmerican.org (2026) lists NextLevel's manufacturing in Missouri. The company doesn't name its molder or say where its resin is made.
Production history: NextLevel Brewer Co. of Cole Camp, Missouri sells the Pulsar and the smaller Pulsar Mini; both were sold on its site in November 2026.
Our rough estimate: parts of unconfirmed origin (resin, paper filters) are about 0–10% of a brewer's value.
Level 4 for its Pulsar Mini brewer: NextLevel says every part of its Pulsar brewers is made in the USA; who molds them isn't stated.
What "made in USA" means for single-cup coffee makers
Check the model. AeroPress makes its Original, Clear and XL presses in the USA, but its Premium and Steel models and its grinder are made in China.
Simple brewers can be fully American. A press or pour-over brewer has no motor or electronics, so the brewer itself is the product.
Each listing's research notes show what was checked and when, including our rough estimate of how much of the value is imported. Ratings are rechecked as companies answer.
