These builders make boats for lakes and rivers: fiberglass bass and multi-species boats, riveted and welded aluminum fishing boats, jon boats for hunting and work, and welded aluminum drift, sled and jet boats for river fishing.

Several of the biggest names belong to larger groups. Ranger, Triton, Nitro and Tracker are part of Bass Pro Shops' White River Marine Group, Lund is a Brunswick brand, and Alumacraft has been owned by Bryton Marine Group since 2025. Others, such as Allison, Recon and Koffler, are family-run shops. Each listing names the plant where the boats are built.
