Go-Ped makes stand-up scooters: gas models (Sport, GSR, Super GSR46R, GTR46, Riot), the Know Ped and Grow Ped kick scooters and rolling chassis sold without engines, plus parts, karts and hobby engines. The brand started in a family garage in 1985 and is now run as Go-Ped Werx by a longtime Go-Ped dealer.
Made in: Platteville, CO. Go-Ped Werx says it does much of the machining, welding, bending, stamping and painting, and all of the hand assembly, at its US facilities. Its GP35 four-stroke engine is a Go-Ped version of the Lifan 139F.

Platteville, COGroffdale Machine builds big-wheeled kick scooters, the kind used for everyday travel in Amish communities, in steel and lightweight aluminum with 12-, 16-, 20- and 24-inch wheels and a choice of colors. It makes more than a thousand a year from scratch, sold mostly to Amish buyers across the country and through retailers. The owner's father began building scooters in 1976. The machine shop also does welding and other metal work.
