Bland Farms is a multi-generational, family-owned farm and processing company headquartered in Glennville, Georgia. Established in 1948, they have grown into the largest grower, packer, and shipper of authentic Vidalia® Sweet Onions—a premium variety grown exclusively in specific counties of southeast Georgia.
Their product lineup includes fresh Bland Farms® sweet onions (available year-round through domestic and international sourcing), Sand Candy® Sweet Potatoes, and the popular Vidalia Brands® line of value-added products such as condiments, salad dressings, sauces, salsas, relishes, seasonings, snacks (including chips), and frozen/IQF items like diced onions, strips, and purees.
Bland Farms grows, packs, and processes many of its core products right in Georgia, with significant manufacturing occurring through its Glennville-based operations and Vidalia Brands division. Vidalia® Sweet Onions are cultivated exclusively in the approved southeast Georgia regions (per the Georgia Department of Agriculture’s registered certification mark), then harvested, cured, graded, and packed at the company’s state-of-the-art Glennville facilities featuring controlled-atmosphere storage, advanced sizing/packing lines, energy-efficient cooling rooms, and recyclable packaging.
The on-site frozen food facility and Vidalia Brands operations handle development and manufacturing of the branded condiments, snacks, salsas, dressings, seasonings, and frozen IQF/puree products using Georgia-grown onions. While they supplement sweet onion supply from other U.S. states and international partners (Peru/Mexico) for year-round availability—and partner with North Carolina growers for some sweet potatoes—their flagship Vidalia offerings and much of the value-added manufacturing emphasize Georgia sourcing, design innovation (e.g., sustainable packing tech), and domestic production.
