US Engine Connecting Rod Manufacturers
I have researched and compiled a list of American companies who make automotive connecting rods, right here in America.
The list includes both billet and forged; aluminum, steel and titanium rods.
8 manufacturers machine and finish some, or all of their rods from billet stock that is forged in the United States, although several companies also source their raw forgings from elsewhere and then finish them 'in house'.
I've included a few details about the companies and their products along with direct links to both the manufacturer and on-line retailers where you can get the latest prices, shipping costs, special offers and more, if available.
Billet Steel
Billet steel processing in connecting rod manufacturing, is the finished product has been machined from a rectangular block of forged billet stock.
This manufacturing method combines the strength of a forging and the consistency of billet steel.
The commercial advantage is that the rod can be machined to any length and shape, eliminating the added cost of special forge dies, which also makes customizations a much easier process.

They are 100 percent magnaflux-inspected, checked for surface hardness, and then machined to final size to exacting tolerances within 1/1,000 of an inch.
Crower makes straight-beam and light-beam steel billet rods for many domestic & foreign automobile engines and motorcycles, and also stroker titanium rods for SB & BB Chevy, Honda and Suzuki.

All rods are finished in the USA and held to very tight tolerances.
K-1 produces a wide variety of sizes and applications, including everything from Sport Compact and European platforms to the ever-popular Small Block and Big Block Chevy and LS applications, as well as many more from Ford and Mopar. K1 even covers some custom and specialty sizes, providing a convenient solution for unique builds.

From the very start of production, their material is processed using a higher standard for cleanliness and purity, meeting AMS 2301. Their proprietary two-stage heat treatment optimizes stress relief and provides superior grain structure and ideal grain size.
Oliver produces ultra-light, light, standard and ultra max rods for popular Chevy, Ford and Mopar engines.

Pauter’s manufacturing methods for its x-beam connecting rods combine the strength of forging and the consistency of billet steel.
Pauter produces forged and billet 4340 steel rods, billet aluminum and titanium rods fitted for mostly 4 & 6 cylinder engines.

RCD has Wagler Competition Products manufacture that private label, tweaked design using Forged american steel.

Forging made from 4340ACQ certified material.
Wagler makes connecting rods for Dodge Cummings, Chevy Duramax and Ford Powerstroke diesel engines.
All drafting, design, programming, machining, assembly, and QA performed in-house at Odon, Indiana, by qualified and experienced personnel.
Forged Steel
Forged steel connecting rods excel in strength and structural integrity compared to that of cast components.
Stronger components keep up their mechanical properties under intense pressure and strain.
They are more attractive economically in mass production operations due to reduction of material waste and machining time.

Callies Ultra connecting rods are produced from extremely clean TimkenSteel, that has been formulated to their exact specifications.
This proprietary steel is then forged in Trenton, Michigan, and the final machine work takes place in their Fostoria, Ohio facility.

They offer a complete line of rods for Small Block and Big Block Chevy, Ford, Chrysler, Pontiac, Honda and many more makes in both I-Beam and H-Beam connecting rod designs.
All SCAT connecting rods are finish machined in SCAT’s Redondo Beach, California, manufacturing facility.

New replacement Model A connecting rods re-engineered for the 21st century.
Forged and machined in the USA under strict ISO and QS quality standards. Can be used with babbitt or insert main bearings. Available for pressure or dipper oiling systems in STD, .001, .010, .020, .030, .040, .060 undersized journals.
Forged Aluminum

A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is divided into four sections, one for each of BME's major products, Rods, Pistons, Wrist Pins and Superchargers.
Motorcycle

Their one-piece design is fully machined from proprietary, USA-made forgings, manufactured in the USA using F1 engineering design experience achieving optimal strength-to-weight characteristics.
Raw Forgings

Trenton Forging uses impression die forging to produce a wide range of symmetrical and asymmetrical forged automotive parts, including connecting rods.
Their entire forging process follows these steps:
They develop a set of custom dies (tooling) based on blueprints, CAD models, existing parts, and other information you provide.
They purchase raw materials for your project in the correct grade and diameter.
They use an energy-efficient induction heating unit to preheat the billets to a predetermined temperature.
They preform (shape) them until they fit your custom tooling.
Once the billets have been preformed, they can begin forging. Their team either utilizes a state-of-the-art forging press or air-lift, gravity-drop hammers; the type of equipment is based on application requirements.
After the forgings have been created, they start the finishing process, which involves removing flashing and letting the forgings cool in a controlled environment. Then, they clean the part’s surface and remove scale via shot blasting, unless heat treatments are required.
