Abernethy Spencer
Tucked just outside of Purcellville in the Quaker village of Lincoln, Abernethy & Spencer is no ordinary garden center. Although we're one of Mid-Atlantic's oldest greenhouses, what distinguishes us most is our commitment to environmental stewardship.
We take great care in being "green," knowing that our individual choices make a difference. We seed most of our plants here on the property. Trees are stocked from selected nurseries that share our vision. And our mulch comes from only high quality yard trimmings. We even carry farm fresh eggs from the very chickens you see scratching about the yard.

Boulevard Flower Gardens
Getting back to more normal season temps, protect any newly planted annuals or veggie plants such as tomatoes, peppers, squash with a sheet or burlap during nights that go below 40 degrees. Do not use a plastic covering as that can increase the cold and suffocate your plants. Be sure to use a "breatheable blanket".

DeBaggio's Herb Farm
We are a retail only family business that began in 1975, with my father, Tom DeBaggio, selling home-propagated herb and vegetable plants from his backyard in Arlington. Many plants and greenhouses later, we were able to expand to the present-day Chantilly location in 1997, where I continue the DeBaggio tradition of growing the best quality plants.
