All of our soaps are made using the cold-process method, in which the pure vegetable oils are saponified at low temperatures. Saponification is the process of combining the vegetable oils with a strong base in the correct proportions to form cleansing properties and moisturizing glycerin. We are always asked , "do you make glycerin soaps?"
Handmade soap is glycerin soap. When we hand make your soaps they retain the natural glycerin produced during saponification. So you always get the most and the best moisturizing benefits from your soap. There is a huge difference in the old world cold process method of soap making and triple milled soap. With handmade cold process soap the oils and lye are combined at 100 F or less. The low temperature keeps the beneficial properties of our high quality botanical ingredients.

Country Girl Soaps
As this is a new site, we are still taking pictures what you see ARE our soaps; for years Jenny markets under the same name as the carm's organic meat business, 'Peaceful Pastures," but the soaps have just recently branched out to their own label and site.
Country Girl products are all made by Jenny in her country kitchen. Jenny makes each small batch by hand to assure quality, purity and consistency. EVERY product is cruelty free, Earth Friendly and never, ever tested on animals. You will notice many differences between our products and "store bought"; ALL of our soaps will get you squeaky clean, yet are much milder than anything you are currently using. The reason is this: what you buy in the store, with rare exception, is not truly soap, but instead is a more harsh (and less expensive to produce) detergent. Look at the labels sometime! They will say "cleansing bar," "beauty bar," "deodorant bar," but they do not say "soap!" And all detergents are made with petroleum based oils. NONE of our products contain any petroleum products (such as mineral oil).
Our soaps will last much longer than "store bought" as they do not have air whipped into them to increase the volume of the bar. Since every bar is cut by hand there may be variations in size and shape, but this uniqueness contributes to the character of handmade soap!

Ma Bella Story
Ma' Bella Goats Milk Products began with Deana and Shelly on a quest to find the most nutritious natural feeds for their girls, (goats). They met through the efforts of Bonnie, at Bonnie's Barnyard in Triune, Tennessee. Soon a friendship began. They had a desire to use the goat milk that their girls had so graciously provided. They had been drinking it, making cheese with it; then came up with the idea of making soap for their families and friends.
After using it, and discovering how wonderful it made their skin feel, they decided to start selling it so others could benefit. This also made their husbands happy as they had told them they needed to find a way to support their pets, which include Mavis and Isabella (hence the name Ma' Bella. Pronounced May Bella) and many others.
