Bee Keepers

Portland Bee Balm - Bee Keepers

Beekeeping creates a powerful link between the keeper and their natural environment. Once you start keeping bees you will become keenly aware of the first blooms of spring, the last of fall, and every change in between. Guided by these beliefs and this insight, we make Portland Bee Balm with wax from northwest Oregon hives and just a few other carefully sourced organic and local ingredients, displayed in lovingly handcrafted cases.

Dairies

Ancient Heritage Dairy is a sheep and cow dairy nestled between the foothills of the Oregon Cascade Mountains and the fertile Willamette Valley. We are a family dairy with everyone caring for lambs, ewes and our cows, making the best cheese we can.

Farms

Beach Family Farm is a family farm indeed, raising a delicious variety of natural, pesticide-free Blueberries for u-pickers who would like to enjoy a tranquil visit to the country without a lengthy drive as you gaze across the picturesque Willamette Valley.

Updated August 12, 2017 Season is over!

For next year: Remember to bring your OWN containers for taking your berries home. They still do carry food-grade buckets with lids for $1.50 each but don't have bags or boxes.

If you sign up for the postcard you don't have to keep checking the website for the opening date. But we do suggest checking during the season to keep apprised of the conditions and quantity of berries left. Please return your postcard, along with any corrections, if needed, to them to remain on the mailing list. If you forget to return the card but want to stay on the list, just email them your name and say that you want to stay on the list.

Farm Direct Store offering the best apples, cider & fresh local produce. Open end of August thru mid November. Our seasonal farm store is great fun for the whole family. They sell 10 varieties of apples that we grow and offer locally grown produce when available.

Livestock

Afton Field Farm is a pasture-based, multi-generational family farm in Corvallis, Oregon owned by Tyler & Alicia Jones. Tyler is a protege of Joel Salatin’s Polyface Farm in Virginia. We use multi-species, managed intensive rotational grazing methods similar to Polyface Farm to produce these wonderful products:

Their mission is to raise the highest-quality, healthiest, best-tasting meat available. Their livestock are all raised outdoors, on lush pasture, in a humane and environmentally friendly way. They sell 100% grass-fed beef, lamb, and pasture-raised, natural pork. We never give our animals any hormones or antibiotics.

Logging Companies

The Pacific Northwest is a forested paradise but the old saying; "you can't see the forest for the trees" definitely applies. Many landowners have so much brush and under story that they are unable to use their land. In other cases the brush has obscured the view or encroached on their home and has become a fire hazard. We provide services in Oregon, Washington & California.

Organic Farming

Farm direct organic berries. Fresh, frozen, no sugar- organic dried blueberries, organic blueberry spread, organic blueberry powder. Certified organic, nutrient dense and incredibly delicious, Corvallis, Oregon.

Some of the companies listed in this directory that produce items here in Oregon, may also have them manufactured in other states & countries as well. Many businesses alter their brand names, manufacturing practices and product designs with little or no notice, so if there are questions that still remain, we suggest contacting the manufacturer directly.
