Organic Bean and Grain, Inc is a Michigan corporation owned by fourth generation farmers, Mark and Steven Vollmar. The company was founded in 1998 near Caro, Michigan in rural Tuscola County, in order to add value to the Vollmar’s farm production. Vollmar Family Farms, Inc had been certified organic since 1996 but needed a local elevator to handle their crops. In order to sell grain as organic, everyone handling the product must be certified organic by a third party.
