The Uplander is made of Pecos Leather which is USA steer hides. It's a waxy, rugged nubuck leather with a high degree of water repellency. The sole is the Vibram 360 Force compound which has wide outer lugs for stability on uneven terrain. Used in Military and Law Enforcement, 360 Force Compound has traction in cold, is oil resistant and is a durable compound.
The top 3 eyelets have Russell's solid Antique Brass Studs. It is double vamp for more support and water repellence and features a new wider cushion collar for comfort around your leg. The Uplander also has a Poron Slip Sole which is a technical foam layer added to the boot between the molded sole and the vamp. Poron does not compress under the foot and provides a comfortable cushion for walking long miles over rugged terrain. It does not "move around" like most slip soles because it is built into the boot.
