Chris James makes custom handmade knives - both hand forged and stock removal methods. Old fashioned craftsmanship, heirloom quality, rustic looks.
All of Chris' knives are handmade and are one of a kind.
His blades are typically made either from 1095 or 1084 high carbon steel which is known for its strength and ability to take and hold a razor sharp edge.
He differentially hardens and edge quenches every knife blade. This means that the cutting edge is harder to help maintain its sharpness and the spine is softer and more flexible to resist breaking.
The handles are typically made from natural materials such as wood, antler and stacked leather. These natural materials are unique and therefore add to the overall unique appearance of each knife.
