I've had many inquires about the grind I use. My grinds are 75% flat, 25% convex. I've found this grind to be a great geometry giving you a flatter convex contour for better cutting ability and strength behind the cutting edge. The edge is a convex micro bevel giving it better stability for hard use. I knock the shoulders off the secondary bevel giving the feel of a zero edge.Great River Forge

I use mostly use CPM 154 CM for my blades and back springs. All my knives are hollow ground and razor sharp. They always close dead center and have nice walk and talk. I can make any knife to the customer’s specifications, shadow patterns, caps and bolsters, integral bolsters and liners. Most of my knifes are made with bronze pivot bushings. The scales can be made from just about anything the customer requests, bone, mastodon ivory, mother of pearl, Sambar stag, wood, G10, Micarta or any other natural or man-made material. All my work is done in my shop from blank pieces of material.
