American Made Moccasins

You might be asking yourself if anyone still make moccasins here in America?, well the answer is yes, and we've put together a list of 12 manufacturers & brands, which includes large corporations, small companies and individuals.

The list includes companies that make some of the best casual, dress, outdoor boating & hunting moccasins and more.

7 of these companies make some, or possibly all of their products from materials 100% sourced here in America, although the other manufacturers in the list still assemble their moccasins in the USA.

There are also a few details and links to both the manufacturer and to retailers where you can find the latest prices, shipping costs, customer reviews, special offers & more, if available.

Arrow Moccasin Company

Arrow Moccasin Company Moccasins

Arrow moccasins are made of extra heavy, quality, Swiss hides that are tanned in England, the same country that produces the best of bridle leathers. A special tanning process is used by a small, family owned tannery, that no one in the world has been able to duplicate. The fibers of the leather are tightly joined in the process, yet are pliable enough to allow the leather to mold to your feet and breathe. This is why Arrow Moccasins will outlast all others, because every pair is completely handmade and sewn with a knot in every stitch and they guarantee the stitching for the life of the moccasin.

Rancourt & Co.

Rancourt & Co. Moccasins

The genuine handsewn moccasin construction is recognized worldwide as uniquely American. Since 1967 the Rancourt family has been crafting moccasins in Maine and for three generations they have striven to craft the best shoes in the world. Their shoemakers, some with four decades of handsewing experience, are skilled in shaping and fitting the leather to the last with simple tools. They carefully tack the leather in place, then hand-stitch the leather with needles and waxed thread to create the moccasin upper. This produces a remarkably comfortable and flexible shoe.

Russell Moccasin

Russell Moccasin Moccasins

Each pair of Russell boots and shoes is hand lasted, meaning, leather is stretched over a last that conforms to the shape of your foot. Your foot is cradled all around and under foot by up to three layers of the finest leather. At each stage of the production cycle, pairs of boots and shoes are attended to in various hand operations, making mass production methods impossible at Russell. One of the amazing benefits of this extra work, hand lasting and true moccasin construction is that bones in your feet and your toes can move independently and freely as they were intended to.
