Barco

These are the finest quality US made axes available. The Kelly Perfect® features a full polished head with deep bevels to reduce binding of the head in the wood, painted a distinctive blue, while the Kelly Woodslasher® line is painted red with polished edge.

Council Tool

Start with 5160 alloy as the steel grade of choice. Velvicut® heads are drop forged at around 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit, after which a punch pierces the still-red hot metal. Forging is a superior process because it produces refined grain flow in the steel. As a result of forging, the grain is continuous through the part thereby greatly enhancing strength.

Estwing

This axe is forged in one piece steel with exclusive Shock Reduction Grip and it comes with an embossed leather sheath.

Vaughan Manufacturing

Light weight and easy to carry. Head is ground smooth, with a rust-resistant blue finish. Hickory handle. Durable fitted sheath. MADE IN USA

Some of the companies listed in this directory that make tools here in America, may also have them manufactured in other countries as well. Many businesses alter their brand names, manufacturing practices and product designs with little or no notice, so if there are questions that still remain, we suggest contacting the manufacturer directly.
